Cottage at the Lake - Fish, Swim, Shows, Shop!

Located less than four miles from Big Cedar Lodge and just fifteen minutes from "Highway 76 Strip," this lake cottage is close to the town's activity but with the relaxing ambiance of Tablerock Lake. After a long day of sightseeing and fun, sit on the deck and watch the hummingbirds in the giant mimosa tree or stroll down to the dock and watch the sun go down. Two bedrooms (one queen bed, one with twin beds), one bath, great room with vaulted ceiling, comfortable couches, cable television, dining seating for six. Kitchen is stocked with everything (except food!) to make a simple breakfast or a romantic dinner. Laundry, fenced dog run. Barbecue grill. No smoking in the house, please. The purchase of this house was so that we could enjoy the beauty of Tablerock lake and the Ozarks but not be so far from town that we could not appreciate the shows and restaurants. This is a work in progress; the first year we added a large deck so we could really enjoy the outdoors…which is, of course, why we choose the location in the first place! To enhance both the view from inside and the house from the outside we then replaced most of the windows. An added benefit is being able to enjoy the lake breeze. In fact, we like to use the whole house fan and breathe REAL air at night! This Spring we completely ripped out the walls and fixtures from the 70’s bathroom and replaced them with new fixtures, colors and lighting. It is only after that was complete that we felt comfortable inviting others to stay in our cottage. We aren’t done and if you stay with us more than once you will see changes! However, we think you will enjoy it as is and will find it reasonably priced, comfortable, and your home away from home. Amenities: Large Deck for Relaxing, Swimming and Fishing Dock, Phone, Air Conditioning, Cable TV, VCR, CD Player, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Refrigerator, Cooking Utensils Provided, Linens Provided, Washer, Dryer, Gas Grill (BBQ). No Smoking. Pet Run Available for Outside Animals (small fee for animals).
